Delete your data in the app, before you uninstall it. Unscroll never asks for your name or email, so once the app is gone there's no way for us to identify or verify which account was yours — meaning in-app deletion is the only deletion path that exists, not just the fastest one.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login. Your credential is permanently deleted, not just deactivated.
  • Your account data. Your preferences, usage stats, subscription tier, and desktop/Chrome stats stored on our servers.
  • On-device data. Your local usage history is wiped from your device, and your device is disconnected from your account so it's no longer identified as you.

How to delete your data

In the app

Go to Settings → "Your privacy matters" → "Reset your data". You'll be asked to confirm twice before anything is deleted, since this can't be undone.

If you're a paid subscriber, deleting your account does not cancel your subscription or stop billing — you'll need to cancel that separately in the App Store. The in-app flow will remind you of this before you confirm.

Already deleted the app?

We're not able to help with this one, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than pretend otherwise. Unscroll doesn't collect a name or email when you sign up — your account is identified only by a random ID generated on your device — so there is nothing in a support request (your name, the email you're writing from, anything you remember about your account) that we can match to a specific row in our database.

This isn't a policy choice we could waive on request: even if you send us an account or device ID, we have no way to confirm it's actually yours rather than one you found or guessed, so we can't act on it. If you still have the device the app was on, the most reliable fix is reinstalling and deleting your data from Settings before removing it again.

Confirmation

Deletion happens immediately: you'll see a "Data Reset Complete" confirmation, and by the time you see it, the deletion has already happened. There's no other deletion route, and so nothing else to confirm.

What isn't touched by this

We'd rather be upfront about the limits of account deletion than promise total erasure we can't back up:

  • Product analytics are retained and not deleted by account deletion. They're identified internally by an analytics ID linked to your account while it exists — not by your name or email, which we never collect — but that's pseudonymous data, not anonymized data, and it isn't purged.
  • Scholarship requests are the one exception to everything above. If you've used the in-app scholarship form, the real name, email, and message you submitted there are on file independently of your account — which means, unlike account data, we actually can locate and delete it on request. Reach out via our contact page if you'd like that removed.
  • App Store billing records. Subscription and billing history lives with Apple, outside anything we can reach. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription — only you can do that, in the App Store.
  • A small number of internal records tied to feedback, diagnostics, or device pairing aren't automatically cleaned up by this flow today. These are keyed to your device, not your name or email, so we can't locate them from a support request either.
